Music has always been important in my life beginning with piano lessons
at age 12, then six years of playing bass fiddle in junior high and
high school and voice lessons in college.
Nearing retirement I studied organ and upon retirement I studied piano again for about 5 years after my husband gifted me with a beautiful piano for my birthday.
In 2006 my husband insisted I answer an ad in SCC for some art easels and supplies and I also came home with a used guitar that I coveted. I am not sure how I became involved with playing with the Front Porch Pickers, but I think Sally Drain's friendly encouragement to start playing with the group had everything to do with it.
It has been great joy to be a part of this wonderful group of musicians who welcome all with an interest in music.
