I've always had a keen interest in music, I just haven't found my niche.

I reluctantly played violin in my high school orchestra, keeping my last chair for 4 years.   It was a great relief to graduate and end the torture.  I bought a guitar and tried to learn on my own for a couple of years.

Now 40+ years later, I'm so happy to be permitted to play along with the Front Porch Pickers.   I like the music and people and am motivated to practice.  By switching to bluegrass with a fiddle and guitar, I'm in hog heaven.

As a musician wanna be, I only wish I'd listened to my mother when she tried to make me practice.   It would have been so much easier when I was young.
